Whether they are just starting off on their first day of kindy, halfway through the year or in year 5, the School Days photosessions are the perfect way to celebrate your little ones schooltime adventure.

The photosession captures a “typical” morning along with all the little bits and pieces which come along with being at school (pencil cases, backpacks, uniforms, to list a few) finishing off with saying farewell out the front of your house with your little one heading off to school, well not really. The session is generally held on a weekend morning when all immediate family members are available. If the school is local there is the option of a brief visit for a couple of extra photos.

Mia is very excited as she is starting school this year – that’s right. Little Mia is going to be starting Kindy very soon. Mia was more than happy to jump into her school uniform and show me all the little bits and pieces which is going to make her school day that extra bit special, including a very special princess backpack.

Mia’s cute little uniform all ready on her bed to get changed into. I know this sounds crazy but I kinda loved my uniform as a kid and look at the ones now – they even have matching headbands!

It’s the little things that matter, like remembering how little, or big, your kids shoes are every year of school. They grow so fast!

For the last part of the School Days photosession we visited Mia’s school. Luckily it was open on the weekend and we were able to get a few photos. What makes it even more special is that Dean, Mia’s dad, and his family attended this school when he was a boy.

So without further adieu, may I present to you

The concept goes beyond a standard photo album. There are soo many little details within a wedding, our relationships and our lives which simply cannot be captured. Even though a picture is worth a thousand words sometimes it’s that little bit of history which makes all the difference. The Love Stories albums are a combination of a standard photography album and a story book.

We asked each of our couples who wished to participate in an Love Stories Album to fill out a small booklet about their wedding day or their relationship. For those who completed the Love Stories WeddingAlbums we asked them to send in everything from their vows to the little memories from the day which made it unique. After receiving the books back the magic started happening, being completely inspired by the stories and amazing stories we were able to read through. It really touched our hearts and made us realise that we were on the right track with the project.

An essential part of any wedding is the promise you make to each other so it only makes sense to include it in the story of your day.

The albums are designed to be stored in the specially crafted album box, on your coffee table or on a shelf – stacked with other your story albums from your engagement shoot, family portrait, or when the time comes maternity and children’s albums. Wow hasn’t this year gone quickly!
2011 has been a huge year here in the Gale household. As many of you know we were joined by the birth of our first born child this year Lachlan who not only has turned our lives upside down but has changed them for the better. We’ve also had many amazing clients who have welcomed us into their lives through weddings, portraits and commercial work to you we thanks as we wouldn’t be here without each and ever one of you.

Lily and new mum Tennelle visited our home studio for our new Newborn portraits and bought along the cutest little fairy outfit and an actual bunny rug! Lily was such a doll and was completely chilled throughout the whole session.

We hope you enjoyed the images as much as we did taking them.

Natalie & Steve’s Wedding Story

Congratulations Nat & Steve – we wish you the world of happiness as your start your new adventure together as husband and wife!

Lachlan was the star of the maternity ward with his handsome looks he had the attention of all the nurses – not that I’m biased at all! Of course I took my camera to the hospital and managed to take a couple of snaps in between feeds, naps and visits from family and friends.

Such a proud daddy!

As you can imagine, things are a little hectic so please allow some additional time for all orders and responses to emails as we are still adjusting to Lachlan joining our little household.
